MISSION STATEMENT

Bringing about social change through art and design is the mantra guiding all of T‘s endeavors. Because everything in our daily lives — from the public transport we take to school, uni or work in the morning to the bed we fall asleep in at night — is a matter of design. Therefore, good design is essential for a good life.

Yet design can only be truly good if it efficiently solves the problems and challenges life presents every day. And any problem by the nature of its social context needs to be looked at and solved within that context. Not losing sight of this social perspective and recognizing a societal responsibility of design, is what distinguishes T’s philosophy as more holistic than others.

The more intentional and consciously we approach these design matters, the more we realize the power of each and every thread and the more we will eventually be able to change the social fabric of our society towards one built for the progression of human life, not its decline.
